Scarlett Haasnoot

Textile Designer and Hand Weaver, Scarlett Haasnoot, studied “Textile Design” at the “Koninklijke Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten” (K.A.B.K.) “Royal Academy of Fine Arts” in The Hague. Scarlett specializes in Design and Hand Weaving creating “Wearable Art” and “Wall Hangings”. Her work is exhibited and sold in Japan, South Korea, Australia, the United States, and Europe. She gets her inspiration from nature, architecture, and the colors and vibrations of city scenery while traveling the world. These impressions are translated into monumental Design and Weave in Satin – Block Damask. The finest of yarns are used: silk, mercerized cotton, and Japanese novelty yarns. Each piece is strikingly unique, every scarf or wall Hanging is woven once!
