The OLOF Organisation: Mission Statement
OLOF exists to give socially, psychologically, and culturally marginalised people the tools and social environment necessary to stimulate the creative process. OLOF establishes workspaces and galleries for the creation, exhibition and sale of visual art and poetry. The workplaces offer the marginalised individual a safe haven to discover and define their own creative processes and receive additional coordinated support services such as educational trips and sabbaticals. The galleries create marketplace opportunities for the individual with expositions and multi-disciplinary projects around the world
OLOF: How Does It Make A Difference?
Considering scale is an essential component of any business. OLOF offers cultural services and support to the individual who has likely never had an opportunity to enjoy the freedom to make art. Small-scale, intimate environments embody the OLOF philosophy that its specialised services are administered to its vulnerable artists in a nurturing environment. Supportive staff and a talented cultural support team create the proper environment for personal artistic growth. OLOF upholds the equal importance to the individual artist and the validity of the artist's practice. From workplace to gallery, OLOF combines social integration models and economic growth goals.
Artists affiliated with OLOF can choose to receive docent support to enable the development of individual style and method. Working with 'insider' visual artists and poets, artists may choose to participate in a social dialogue about their work with the residual benefit of social integration as a real possibility.
