OLOF Art Gallery

Olof Art Gallery werd in Leiden  op 29 augustus 2008 geopend door David MacLagan (Universiteit Sheffield/ UK) en Adriaan Van der Plas (VanderPlas Gallery-NewYork/USA). Olof Art Gallery is speciaal bedoeld voor Outsider Art-, Self Taught-, Visionary-, Art-Brut-, Singulare-, en voor Non-Outsiders/ Mainstream. Olof Art Gallery zal ook speciaal voor Textiel kunstenaars en Textiel kunst regelmatig exposities organiseren.

De gallery organiseert in haar eigen locatie te Leiden, ook exposities op wisselende locaties. Door Mobiliteit en Flexibiliteit is Olof instaat zich vernieuwend te manifesteren. Olof streeft naar het bieden van een podium aan de Singuliere Kunstenaars, Outsiders, Non Outsiders, en Textile Artists door frequent de kunstwerken van de kunstenaars te exposeren in binnen- en buitenland. Olof Art Gallery werkt samen in een ruim netwerk van binnen- en buitenlandse galeries, art dealers en kunstenaars en heeft een breed kunstaanbod.

Ambassador-Artists for Singuliere- en Outsider Artists 

Olof Art Gallery werkt samen met Ambassador -Artists vanuit de hele wereld. De Ambassadors zijn kunstenaars, die geen Singuliere- en of Outsider Art kunstenaars zijn, maar wel (open)staan voor de unieke en oorspronkelijke scheppingsdrang en de puurheid bewonderen van de kunst. De Ambassadors zijn 'terug naar de roots' kunstenaars. Zij hebben geen moeite met het feit van 'gêne' en of ' geassocieerd' te worden met de Singuliere- en of Outsider Art kunstenaars. De Ambassadors erkennen en herkennen de oorspronkelijkheid en zetten zich in voor acceptatie en integratie.

De Ambassadors zijn warme pleitbezorgers en middels samenwerking dragen zij deze bewondering uit. Zij storen zich niet, net als Singuliere- en Outsider Art kunstenaars, aan conventies, kunst educatie, kunst elitaire opvattingen en maatschappelijke tendenzen. Olof Art Gallery heeft inmiddels een groot aantal internationale Ambassadors, die haar steunen in opvattingen en zich inspannen om de doelen te verwezenlijken.
